New Features

IG-2457 Secure passwordless login with passkeys

Release notes

DCC now supports passkeys using the WebAuthn standard, allowing users to sign in securely without entering a password. Passkeys can use Windows Hello, Touch ID, Face ID, Android biometrics or an external WebAuthn/FIDO2 security key.

Users can register and name multiple passkeys, view their registered passkeys and revoke those they no longer use from their security settings. Passkey login is supported in compatible desktop and mobile browsers and remains compatible with enforced MFA policies.

Password-based login remains available, providing an alternative if a passkey is lost or unavailable.

IG-2509 Show compact widgets side by side on mobile

Release notes

Dashboard designers can now make better use of the available screen space in mobile view by displaying compact widgets side by side instead of stacking each widget vertically.

Enable "Show compact widgets side by side on mobile" in the Dashboard settings to arrange adjacent Label, Value, Clock, Remote Access and MQTT Control widgets in pairs. Other widget types continue to use the full width and remain stacked.

IG-2510 Manage Dashboard Folder Access for Companies and Dashboard Users

Release notes

Dashboard Folder access can now be managed directly from Next-Gen Dashboards. By right-clicking a folder and selecting Manage Inheritance & Access, administrators can assign or remove access across the applicable company hierarchy.

The new dialogue shows existing assignments and provides search, checked/unchecked filtering, expand/collapse, and select-all options. Administrators can also select a company and grant folder access to all or selected Dashboard Users within that company, avoiding the need to update each user individually through IoT Administration.

The dialogue manages access to complete Dashboard Folders. Access to individual Dashboards must still be configured through the Dashboard User settings in IoT Administration.

Current limitation: If Dashboards are subsequently moved into, out of, or between folders, existing Dashboard User access is not automatically recalculated based on the changed folder structure. Access may therefore need to be reviewed and updated manually after reorganizing Dashboard Folders. This dynamic handling of structural changes is not included in the current release.

IG-2526 Further Inherit Dashboard Folders Through the Company Hierarchy

Release notes

Dashboard Folders inherited from a parent company can now be inherited further to companies below it in the hierarchy. The Manage Inheritance & Access action works consistently for both directly owned and inherited Dashboard Folders.

When using drag-and-drop, an inherited folder can only be assigned to descendant companies. It cannot be inherited back to the source company, to parent or sibling companies, or to companies outside the source company’s hierarchy.

IG-2535 Control how Data Refinement fields are shown in Line chart widgets

Release notes

Data Refinement fields added to a Line chart can now be configured either as a translation or as a regular data source. Translations are shown as symbols on the chart, while fields used as data sources display their raw values, including in the chart mouseover. This makes it possible to exclude selected translations from being shown as mark lines.

Display options that had no effect on Line charts have also been removed, simplifying the widget configuration. When a field is used as a translation, Show Symbol is automatically selected.

IG-2558 Add option to show Trendlines for regular datasources on linechart

Release notes

Line charts can now display a trendline for each regular data source, making it easier to identify overall patterns in fluctuating data.

Enable Trendline from the chart’s wrench menu. Trendlines are shown as dotted lines, and the mouse-over information indicates whether the trend is upward or downward, including the calculated rate of change per hour.

IG-2569 Session expiry is now based on inactivity

Release notes

DCC now uses a sliding expiry for refresh tokens. While a user remains active, the refresh token (and therefore the session) is automatically extended.

The configured Session expiry or Custom session expiry now determines how long the user may remain inactive before being logged out, rather than setting a fixed session duration from the initial login. This prevents active users from being logged out unexpectedly and losing unsaved work.

In the DCC mobile app, users can also continue authenticating with biometrics instead of having to enter their credentials again when a fixed token period expires.

IG-2574 Event-triggered report generation and distribution

Release notes

Reports can now be generated automatically when a configured value changes. This makes it possible to create reports for completed batches, production cycles or machine states without relying only on scheduled report generation.

A report can now be configured as either Scheduled or Value-based trigger. When using a value-based trigger, the report can be generated when a selected sample point changes to a configured value, changes from a configured value, or simply changes value.

The report time range can be defined as either a fixed time before the trigger, for example the previous 24 hours, or as the condition period before the trigger. With the condition period option, DCC searches backwards from the trigger and includes the latest continuous period where the previous value remained unchanged. This is useful for batch IDs or machine states, where the report should cover the batch or state that just ended.

Example: if a Batch ID changes from B to C, the report can cover the period where the Batch ID was B. Similarly, if a machine state changes from 4 to 0, the report can cover the full period where the machine state was 4.

The report configuration now also supports Collector and Sample point prefill. This makes it easier to reuse the same report configuration across multiple devices using the same Device Configuration Schema, as DCC can automatically match the relevant sample point on each device.

The report setup has also been updated with a step-based configuration flow, making it easier to select report type, file settings, trigger mode, trigger conditions and sample points.

IG-2577 Clearer MQTT broker URL information

Release notes

MQTT certificate packages downloaded from DCC now include a README file specifying the broker URL the device should connect to.

This is particularly relevant for customers using dedicated DCC environments, where the MQTT broker URL may differ from the standard Inuatek endpoint. The MQTT documentation has also been updated to explain that the correct URL can be found in the included README file.
MQTT configurations that already contain the correct broker URL are not affected.

IG-2585 Select multiple display options in Table and Event widgets

Release notes

When using a Data Refinement Group as the data source, the Table and Event widgets can now display raw data, symbols and translated text simultaneously.

The previous radio buttons have been replaced with checkboxes, allowing each display option to be enabled independently for individual fields or for all selected fields.

IG-2589 Show the current date in the Clock widget

Release notes

The Clock widget now includes an option to display the current date together with the time and timezone. The date can be enabled using the new Show date setting for both digital and analog clocks.

Bug Fixes

IG-2516 Remove Dashboard User access when Company folder inheritance is removed

Release notes

Fixed an issue where Dashboard Users could retain access to individual Dashboards after the related Dashboard Folder was no longer inherited by their Company.

When Dashboard Folder inheritance is removed from a Company, any dependent Dashboard inheritances are now also removed from Dashboard Users within that Company. This ensures that users cannot access Dashboards that are no longer available to their Company.

IG-2543 Fixed removal of all dashboards from a Dashboard User

Release notes

Fixed an issue where removing all assigned dashboards from a Dashboard User was not saved. For example, if two dashboards were assigned and both were removed before saving, both would remain assigned. Similarly, removing the final remaining dashboard would leave it assigned.

It is now possible to remove and save all dashboard assignments, leaving the Dashboard User without access to any dashboards.

IG-2594 Fixed remote access after GateManager terms are updated

Release notes

Fixed an issue where VNC and Web access through the Remote Access widget could fail with an internal server error if the terms for the LinkManager Mobile user had been updated on the GateManager after the initial setup.

DCC now automatically accepts updated terms during the LMM login and continues establishing the remote connection.
